Management liability for those who decide.
Management liability protects the people who run a company, and often the company itself, against claims that they made poor decisions or treated employees, investors or plan participants unfairly.

- Side A DIC$5 millionFor individuals when the company cannot pay
What it covers
- D&O Side A, for directors and officers when the company cannot indemnify them
- Side B, which reimburses the company when it indemnifies its leaders
- Side C, which covers the entity itself for securities claims, and in private companies often broader claims
- Employment practices claims such as discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination, and fiduciary liability for benefit plans
What it does not cover
- Fraud and deliberate misconduct, once finally determined
- Bodily injury and property damage, which fall under general liability
- Claims first made before the policy period or known before it began
Fit
Who needs it.
Companies with a board, outside investors, lenders or employees. Startups often need D&O once they raise capital. Any business with employees benefits from employment practices cover, because those claims are common.
Questions
Straight answers.
What are Side A, B and C?
Side A protects individuals when the company cannot pay. Side B reimburses the company when it does pay for them. Side C protects the entity itself, and its scope varies by policy type.
Is defense cost inside or outside the limit?
Most management liability policies erode the limit with defense costs. We flag this because a long case can use up the limit before a settlement.
What is claims-made cover?
The policy responds to claims made and reported during the policy period. Changing carriers without retroactive dates or extended reporting can leave a gap, so we manage those dates.
