Claims

When a loss happens, call us before you call anyone else.

A named advocate takes your call, reads the policy and deals with the carrier, so you can get back to running the business.

Claims line

(303) 555-0190

Answered 24 hours a day, every day. After hours, the duty advocate calls back within 30 minutes.

How it works

Five steps from first call to paid claim.

The same route on every claim, so you always know what happens next.

  1. 01

    Call or report online

Tell us what happened and when, as soon as you can. We notify the carrier with you, so do not wait for its adjuster to call first.

  2. 02

    Meet your advocate

A named claims advocate takes the file the same business day and becomes your single point of contact.

  3. 03

    Coverage position in 48 hours

We read every layer of your program and tell you what we expect each policy to pay, and where we will push.

  4. 04

    We deal with the adjuster

We send the carrier the documents, answer its questions and challenge a denial or a low valuation.

  5. 05

    Settle and review

When the claim is paid or resolved, we walk through what it taught us and adjust the program at renewal.

Before you call

What to gather.

None of it is required to start a claim. Whatever you have makes the first call faster.

  • Policy number and the name of the carrier
  • Date, time and place of the loss
  • A short description of what happened, in your own words
  • Photos or video of any damage
  • Names and contact details for anyone injured or involved
  • Any letter, demand or lawsuit you have received

While you wait

Protect your claim.

A few early choices can help or hurt a claim later.

  • Notify us promptly. Late notice can put cover at risk, and we pass it on to the carrier for you.
  • Keep damaged items and take photos before anything is cleaned up or thrown away.
  • Do not admit fault or agree to pay anyone at the scene. Leave that to your advocate and the carrier.
  • If an employee is hurt, that is a workers’ compensation claim. General liability covers injury to other people.
