Elena Ruiz

Elena runs claims advocacy at Corbel Risk. Before joining in 2015 she was a liability claims adjuster, first on the carrier side and later with a third-party administrator, handling several hundred files a year.

When a client reports a loss, Elena or someone on her team is on the file the same day. They gather documents, press for coverage positions in writing and keep the carrier on a schedule until the claim is paid or closed.

She also reviews general liability programs before renewal, looking at how past claims were handled and which policy wording would have made them easier. She speaks Spanish with clients who prefer it.
